POW and different types of objects
« on: August 04, 2013, 05:28:24 AM »

For getpubkey/pubkey/broadcast objects, you only need to do minimal POW, but for msg objects, one must respect the receiver's nonce_trials_per_byte and extra_bytes settings. Am I getting this right?

Also, if that was correct, then setting those two parameters higher would only limit my inbox, but still I need to handle all the objects. Am I getting this right?

1. You must respect their settings if you want them to read it, but nodes will still relay the message if PoW is at a minimum.
2. Yes. And it wouldn't necessarily limit your inbox, unless there are people who would stop sending to you.
It's 90% UI from here. uPnP is a must.
